Helping you feel better in your body and step into your most authentic self.

As a teenager or young adult, the constant change you face can make it hard to catch your breath. And when you’re also trying to figure out aspects of your identity, navigate dating and relationships, and the impact of things from your past, it might seem like you’ll never be able to get the hang of life.

I totally get what this uncertainty feels like. Here, I want to offer you a safe space to fully be yourself and embrace your individuality. Even if you’re not sure quite who you are yet, this can be an opportunity to explore your identity and values and discover what truly matters to you. I identify as a transgender man, have been through the journey of figuring out my own identity, and would love to help you do the same—whether you’d consider yourself 2SLGBTQIA+ or not.

If we’re actively working together, I can write letters to medical professionals for access to gender-affirming care (i.e. hormones, surgery, etc.). We can talk about and process the difficult things you’ve been through in the past, so they don’t create patterns that follow you into the future. Beyond that, I’ll also help you learn tools and skills to make it easier to manage anxious thoughts and the stress that comes with growing up, because I know it can be A LOT sometimes.

Inclusivity is a core value of mine, so know that whatever you’re bringing to the table, I’ll meet you there: ready to listen without judgment and honor every aspect of your experience. I believe humor is a great way to process complicated feelings and talk about things that might otherwise feel uncomfortable, and I love the opportunity to laugh with my clients. Don’t feel like you need to be formal or buttoned up—I’m here for any sarcasm or jokes you want to throw my way.

Even though you might be feeling a bit hopeless or lacking control right now, please know you’re not alone. There is a future where you feel confident in who you are. If you’d like to work with me, reach out by clicking the link below, and I’d be honored to help you step into that future and into the you that you were meant to be.

MODALITIES

  • ACT encourages accepting thoughts and feelings, even when they’re unpleasant, while committing to actions aligned with personal values.

  • CBT focuses on reframing negative thought patterns and changing behaviors to improve mental health.

  • IFS helps clients explore different parts of their internal self, fostering self-awareness and helping them accept themselves as a whole.

  • EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping on parts of the body) to help people process traumatic memories and feel less affected by them in the present.

Sessions with me are…

Flexible.

I know life happens, and want to give you the space to talk about whatever’s on your mind. Typically, I schedule sessions weekly or every other week so you don’t have to fight for a spot on my calendar. I’ll look to you to lead the way, but will always be there as a guide to help you continue growing toward your goals. I get along well with folks who have a sense of humor because I think it can help us connect more deeply and deal with the tough stuff, so our work together will never be stuffy or impersonal.

My background

I received my Master's degree in Counseling from UW-Whitewater and completed an internship as a counselor working one-on-one with high school students. I am currently working to become EMDR certified and continue to look for opportunities to expand my skills as a counselor so I can better serve my community. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, playing video games, and spending time with my cats.
