Healing from the past, learning in the present, & building confidence for the future.

Are you having trouble fitting in, and finding your place in your career, family, or relationships? You constantly have thoughts like, 'Am I crazy?' or 'Is everyone feeling this way?' rotating in your head. You're searching for a sense of inner calm, even though you're unsure of what that would look or feel like. Maybe you’ve tried therapy before, but the results felt superficial or incomplete.

You feel disconnected from the people you love and have started thinking you’re not good enough or strong enough to handle your life. It’s affecting everything—even your sleep—and you know something needs to change.  Please know that everything you’re feeling is valid, and you’ve come to the right place to find hope, healing, and answers.

I specialize in helping adults navigate trauma, anxiety, and other challenges, whether tied to their career, personal life, or past experiences. When people feel numb or disconnected, they can often experience a loss of happiness, pain in their relationships, and a lack of productivity. In therapy, we’ll use a combination of trauma-informed care and neuroscience to help you gain more than just coping skills. You will gain a deeper understanding of what’s happening beneath the surface.

It is incredibly fulfilling to witness the journey of hope and healing that empowers individuals to take control of their lives. Every person I have the privilege to connect with has a unique story, and I am deeply committed to walking alongside you as you start your journey and navigate your path. • EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping on parts of the body) to help people process traumatic memories and feel less affected by them in the present.

  • IFS helps clients explore different parts of their internal self, fostering self-awareness and helping them accept themselves as a whole.

  • Somatic approaches in therapy focus on the mind-body connection, utilizing bodily sensations and movements to explore and address underlying emotions and traumas. Through techniques such as body awareness, movement, and touch, it aims for healing and integration on a physical and emotional level.

  • Psychoeducation reassures and instills hope to educate and empower people with knowledge of professional therapeutic techniques and how they work.

  • Therapeutic mindfulness helps guide individuals to actively engage in present experiences, allowing them to observe thoughts and feelings without attachment or judgment.

  • Attachment narratives in therapy center around exploring the patterns and dynamics of early relationships to help understand how they influence current interpersonal connections and emotional responses.

  • IATP-C is an approach that combines elements of attachment theory and trauma-focused interventions to address early relational traumas in children. With a blend of storytelling, play therapy, and attachment-focused techniques, it aims to promote healing, resilience, and secure attachment in children who have experienced early trauma.

My background

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University. I also have a Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from The Trauma Center at JRI. I am a member of EMDRIA, the American Counseling Association, the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, and Psi Chi. I’m an EMDR Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Consultant, and IFS Level 2 IFS trained, with advanced training in complex trauma, anxiety, dissociation, dysregulation, and clinical supervision.

I’m an EMDR consultant and can provide supervision for Basic Training, 20/20 Certification hours, and IATP-C.  I also provide general supervision for child and teen topics and dissociation. Please email me if you are interested.

My journey started with in-home therapy, where I honed my skills in trauma, attachment, and comprehensive care before transitioning to outpatient settings. My 13-year tenure as a police wife has provided invaluable insights into the challenges of balancing wellness with demanding schedules, complemented by nearly a decade of mentoring police wives with a national nonprofit organization. I have a history of extensive work with children and teens that has emphasized my commitment to holistic healing across all age groups. I'm dedicated to guiding individuals toward lasting transformation with compassion and expertise.

In my free time, I enjoy being with my German Shepherds, cats, and chickens. I love spending time outdoors, whether it's snowboarding on the slopes or tending to my garden. Indoors, you'll often find me diving deep into a good book or gaming—always with a cup of coffee by my side!
